1. What you see before you spend
Every pack shows you, before you commit:
- its price;
- the chance of drawing into each value band;
- the range of card values in each band;
- the expected value of an average pull.

Average pull is Collector Crypt's expected value for that pack. It is an average across many rips, not a prediction of your rip.
4. What “rarity” means here
Rarity on booty.cards describes the outcome of your rip relative to the pack you opened. It is not a property of the card.
A card that comes up “Legendary” in a $25 pack would be an ordinary Common in a $5,000 pack. The label tells you how well you did against what you paid — nothing more. It is not a grading opinion, not a scarcity rating, and not a claim about the card’s standing in the wider hobby.
5. The house edge, stated plainly
Collector Crypt quotes the sell-back price for each card when you sell it. Selling back pays less than a card's value, and that gap is the house edge.
Selling a card back pays less than its value. Open packs because opening packs is fun.
See Section 12 of the Terms of Service — cards are collectibles, not investments.
6. Who draws the card
Collector Crypt makes the draw, not booty.cards. We do not run it, and we cannot choose or change its result. Collector Crypt decides each pull with a verifiable random function and publishes how to check one: provable fairness, gacha documentation.
7. How a draw actually runs
- You choose a pack and confirm its price in your wallet.
- Collector Crypt rolls one of the bands for that pack, using its rates in Section 2, and awards a card from that band.
- The card is sent to your wallet as a token for the graded card held in Collector Crypt's vault.
- The pull is recorded in your collection on booty.cards.
If Collector Crypt cannot open a pack normally because one of its bands is low on cards, the pack is opened in Collector Crypt's turbo mode instead. In turbo mode a Common pull is sold back to Collector Crypt as it opens: you receive Collector Crypt's buyback amount in USDC instead of the card, and the card does not appear in your collection. An Uncommon, Rare or Epic pull is sent to you as usual.
8. The pool
Each pack draws from Collector Crypt's pool for that machine. The pool changes as people play, so the ranges and averages above describe it at the moment this page loaded.
9. Where card values come from
A card’s value is the insured value Collector Crypt records for that slab. Sell-back offers are quoted by Collector Crypt separately and can differ from it.
Insured value is not an appraisal and not a promise that anyone will pay it.
See Section 11 of the Terms of Service.
10. Who buys cards back
Collector Crypt makes and pays the sell-back offer, not booty.cards. booty.cards is not the counterparty, and an offer is not a floor, a guarantee, or a redemption right. Offers can change or be withdrawn. Section 10 of the Terms of Service covers this in full.
11. Packs are purchases
A pack is a purchase. You pay the price shown and receive one card drawn at the rates in Section 2, or for a turbo Common, its buyback amount in USDC (Section 7). There is no free way to open a pack, and nothing you do on booty.cards changes Collector Crypt’s draw. If raffles are offered, each raffle has its own free method of entry, set out in its own rules.
12. Questions
If a number on this page does not match what you saw in the machine, tell us — that would be a bug, and we would want to know. Write to the addresses on the legal index. You must be 18 or over to play.
